Fab Four

At the start we three: Me, Soham and Pranay used to hang out together like three bros. Soham and I used to create chances for both of them. We used to leave them both in the library alone, let them hang out together. But they both always acted like idiots. We were tired and gave up. Later Khushi joined three of us and we never realised when she became so close. We got our fourth bro. We used to go for tea after college. We always ate together, completed our assignments together and also studied together. We really enjoyed our time together. We scolded each other during the exams and also when we made a fuss overeating. We were really like a family.

Sawapnil Sankar ka Bday

It was Swapnil's bday on 15 October and Sankar's bday on 16 October. We celebrated their birthdays on 16th of October. We had our UT starting the next day but the excitement level never came down. We decorated the Social wing room, bought cake, candles, etc. We even made explosion boxes for them. Swapnil's gift was given to him on the day before. We hid an old monk bottle that day in the room and both of them drink a shot. Not a single person except those in that room that day know about it. We all danced together. It was really a great day.  

The Great Theft

On the 15th of October, I wanted to complete my explosion box for Swapnil as it was his birthday. So I went to SGC with Anant. Omkar and Pranay were waiting for us at the Mc Cafe. They had ordered Coffee and Cake. We had to wait there for a while as the mall opened at 11. After finishing the coffee we took the cup from there and nobody noticed us. That cup is now at Pranay's place. I remember that he was so terrified that he even wanted to return that mug.

When we met Khushi....

On 14th of October, the Garbech event ended. We sent all the collected plastic bottles for recycling. That was the day when I met Khushi the first time. Our first meet was not that good. She didn't talk much that day so we misunderstood her. During the guest lecture, Pranay left us and sat with her. I and Soham called her scam. I really didn't know that she would become my best friend afterwards. After the event Pranay and Khushi went to the orphanage. He said he told us but I don't remember anything. That day I and Soham went home together. We still laugh a lot when we remember that day. Actually on that day, while closing the glass doors I got myself injured. After the event, I was busy searching for the first aid box and didn't realise that they had left already. But somewhere in our hearts we were happy for our bro.

My First Techfest

Ever year RAIT hosts an annual techfest: CONNAISSANCE. It is a three days event. That year it was from 10 to 12 October. All the technical and non-technical committees take part in this event. Various games, food stalls are arranged. There is also an exhibition of photos arranged by PCR (Photo Circle RAIT). We asked all our friends to vote for Omkar. Even the guys sitting there knew that we were sending them in. I was a volunteer in the Rink Football event. Meshram and Vrushabh were the event heads while Omkar and Rohan were the organisers. Pranay, Soham and Rishi also took part as volunteers. I was the only girl volunteer from social wing. The entire rink was full of boys. I was in charge of the entry fees and scores. On the second day, I met Yash. Actually, I knew him already but we had a talk for the first time that day. He even accompanied us till Thane station. On the last day, we played football and cricket with the other members. Even core members joined us. After the match, we went to the sow room to relax and played truth or dare there. Aayush, Prithvi, Shubh, Swapnil, Rohan, Rutuja and others were present there. Then, we went to the DJ arranged on the ground floor. We had a lot of fun. During the techfest, we especially attracted to the goti soda stall. We literally drank 3 sodas a day. The other excitement for me was that I got the social wing t-shirt. Even though it was L size, I loved it. Everybody enjoyed these three days as nobody had to attend any lectures for three days. 

Marines

After our first unit test, we all friends went to marines to enjoy our freedom. We waited for Yash at CST station as he went home after the paper. We then ate panipuri and dosa there and continued to marines. We took 2 taxis. Mayur, Mansi, Pandurang and I were in the same taxi and rest in the other. We had a race between both the taxis like small children do. We took many pics on the way. Even when we reached marines our photoshoot had not ended. After a lot of pics, we sat together to look at the beautiful sunset. I love to watch the sunset very much. It reminds me that nothing is constant in life but when one thing ends there is always a new start. Like the sky is filled with stars after the sunsets. We had to leave early as the weather was very stormy. I remember that all of us were constantly receiving calls from our parents. Unfortunately while returning we had landed in different trains as it was the peak hour. But at the end of the day, we had refreshed ourselves to continue our lives again.

#Garba2k19

Every student has many dreams about his college life. The most common dream amongst the bachelors is having events and fests in the campus. I was no different. I loved my college as it promotes many activities and events. Navratri festival is my favourite. I had missed it the last year because of my board prelims. But this time I was very excited. My excitement increased when I got the chance to dance with my social wing fam. We played Garba for a long time. We didn't even feel tiresome. We introduced many new steps to each other. Everybody danced their hearts out especially the fourth year students. It was their OLT. We clicked a pic as #olt. It was really a superb day. 

Cleanup Drive 2k19

On the 27th of September, we had our cleanup drive event at Nagaon. We were supposed to reach the campus at 9 AM but as usual, we were late by half an hour. Omkar had promised us that he would accommodate three of us with the second year students but failed to do so. They told us that we had to accompany the FEs, but we were no less than anyone. We made Omkar accompany us and troubled him all way. That day Khushi was with us for the whole time but neither Soham nor me spotted her. We realised this when we started teasing Pranay by her name. I knew her name but had never seen her. When we reached Nagaon, we were split into teams. Unfortunately all of us landed in different teams. Pranay teamed up with Aishu and his classmates, Soham was with Omkar and I was teamed with Shubh and Swapnil. They were really cool. Even with their posts as president and vice president, they have always been our good friends. They mixed with every member and had so much fun with them. Aayush and Prithvi were in the same team with me. It was then that we got to know each other well. Our team collected garbage more than everybody. It was very exciting day. Even after the manual work nobody got tired. 

The funniest pic ever

It was the day before our clean up drive. We were busy preparing for the event so we left the college late. We started from Nerul with our senior friends. On the way, we played uno and ate chana. As usual, I cracked a lame joke that made Pranay and Soham give me a funny look. But I never thought that their faces would be funnier than make sense of humor. Luckily I captured that moment and showed the pic to everyone. But to everybody's surprise, Soham's comment on that pic was funnier. He said that he looked like a 'second-hand beggar'. We all couldn't stop ourselves from laughing until when got down. 

#GARBECH

#Garbech was a social wing event related to campus cleaning. It was during this event when Pranay, Soham and I became good friends. We had a lot of fun during the preparations. We sang songs, got to know each other well, made posters, coloured them together and much more. The most interesting thing about this event was that we made a plastic robot and named it 'Garbot'. Everybody was so co-operative. Even the core members took part. There was no such thing as seniors and juniors. Everybody got together very well. This was because no member ever considered it as a committee. For us, it has always been our family. 

UBA survey, Nagaon

Unnat Bharat Abhiyaan UBA was the first social wing event I participated in. I got to the members of the committee that day. It was on the 17th of September. I met Pranay, Soham, Aishu, Anant, and others that day. We had great fun. I also took them to my grandpa's place. Aishu was the in-charge of the survey. During the survey, I teamed up with Omkar. It was quite a rainy day. While returning, there was heavy traffic. We played many songs on the way and also teased each other a lot. I remember that we all had gathered in a school for our lunch. When we were about to leave for the survey, we got a call from one of our team members. It was then that we realized that Meshram had left Rahul in a building and forgot to bring him back. We could do nothing but laugh. Nobody amongst us ever thought that he would realize being left after almost an hour. When we reached NMMC, our bus broke down and we had to change the bus. I still remember that we all reached Nerul station but three amongst us had to go to the college because Soham left his bag in the social wing room. It was quite late but luckily I got a company till Thane. It was the last day when I reached college on time. From that day I am always late for college except for the days for social wing activities and fests. This day changed my life.

Dreams

After my 12th It was my dream to join fashion designing but unfortunately my dream was not completed. Amongst the other excitements at my college, continuing my fashion dream was most exciting. My friends encouraged to continue my dream even when I was in another field. I started designing my own clothes and was very happy for being able to atleast explore my dream. The way to your dream is always existing, you just have to be confident and find it.

The Festive Environment

During the ganpati festival there were many events arranged like open mic, mahaprasad, etc. This also included events for underprivileged. We all went to college all dressed up. The most exciting thing of the day was the smiling faces of the children. They were so happy and naughty. They sang songs with perfect lyrics. Honestly even I was not perfect with those lyrics at that time. We were tgere to make there day but they made our day After that we also sang many old Marathi songs at the open mic with our seniors. It's true that festivals make us forget all the fears and differences. Ganpati Bappa Morya!!!

The Edited Pic

On the aagman day, we really missed Yash. He had to leave for his hometown. So he was not there with us. This edited pic was legendary for our group. Mayur added Yash to this pic. This pic reminded us of our bond. It really meant a lot.

Ganpati Aagman

The ganpati festival was our first festival in college. The entire college was dressed up in traditionals. Everybody was eagerly waiting to welcome RAIT cha Raja. There was a DJ arranged for the warm welcome. We danced our hearts out that day. Palak carried me on her shoulders. That was the day when my whole division got together and enjoyed together. While dancing nobody realised that our bodies had started aching. We ate fried rice in our canteen and then resumed the dance. That was the first day when I went home late. I reached home at 9:30 that day but nobody said anything. I was so happy. But the consequence was that I had to take a pain killer.

First Hangout

The best thing in college life is to hangout with your friends. We were excited about the hangout places near our college. Our first hangout was at SGC i.e. Seawoods Grand Central mall. That day we did nothing but wandering in the mall. Even then it became our best day. I often mess up things when I am excited. That day was no different. I was so excited that while sitting in the auto my kurti tore a bit. I used a paper clip to fix it. That was really embarassing but exciting. We ate ice cream there and cracked many jokes. 

Unforgettable Day

     I was always interested in social activities, so I wished to join social wing. On 14th of August I went for the membership of sow. Omkar was the membership head then. It was Raksha bandhan the next day, so everybody asked me to tie rakhi to Omkar. The pressure was so much that I remember it as my Mini Ragging.

     This was not enough, that I shamelessly asked about Swapnil (Vice President) in front of the crowd. Actually due to his reply on my shayari ("See you soon princess")resulted in people teasing us. It was because my whatsapp id was "Mamma's Princess". The whole committee called me by that name thereafter followed by all my friends and almost half of the college. It was really an unforgettable day of my life. 

New Friends

The happiest feeling in this world is to have someone with you when you are alone. I have always been good at making friends. But was unaware that I would find a bunch of people just like me. We formed a group named "Epic Eight". Six of us were in the same division. We used to hangout together, study together and also bunk together. Although I was never interested in lectures, my friends made them interesting.

The start of a wonderful Journey

My journey towards a new life began on the 8th of August 2019. It was very exciting as I had to travel alone from Dombivli to Nerul. I was lucky enough to have my junior college friends: Ishika and Bhumika with me. We had an orientation program arranged by the college in the D Y Patil auditorium. I finally was relieved to successfully get into my dream college after a lot of efforts. The funniest thing of the day was that I lost my eyeliner which cost Rs. 500, at thane station we getting of the train. This proved that nothing at that moment was more important than entering a new world.
